Terms of Use

Junco · Last updated 2026-10-10

Who we are

These terms cover Junco on iPhone and Android. Junco is made by Ibotyle Services, a business registered in Nigeria ("we", "us"). By using Junco you agree to these terms; if you do not, do not use the app.

Your licence

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Junco on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use. You may not copy, resell, redistribute or reverse-engineer the app, except where the law allows it.

If you got Junco from the App Store, Apple's standard licence agreement for apps also applies. Apple is not responsible for Junco or its support.

Free trial and purchase

Junco is free to download, and every feature is free for 14 days from when you start the trial. After that, the dashboard, day log, exports and Form 8840 helper lock until you buy the one-time unlock. Counting, warnings, settings, backups, deleting your data and reporting a problem keep working. The price is shown in the app before you start the trial. There is no subscription.

Purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their terms; we never see your payment details. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies; ask them. If a purchase is refunded, the unlock is removed.

The counts are an aid, not a ruling

Junco estimates where you were each day from your phone's location and from what you enter. Location can be missed or wrong: it can be switched off, signal and battery run out, and a day near a border can land in the wrong place. Rules also change. Junco quotes each government's rule and links to it, but it does not decide whether you keep your health coverage, owe tax, must register, or are covered by an insurance policy.

Junco is not tax, legal, immigration, medical or insurance advice. Check your days against the official rules and your own records, and ask your province, the IRS, your insurer or a professional when it matters. You are responsible for the decisions you make using the app.

No warranty

Junco is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we make no promise that it will be free of errors or that its counts will be accurate or complete, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost health coverage, tax, penalties or refused insurance claims. Where our liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for Junco. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the consumer laws of the place you live.

Your data

Your day record stays on your phone. We hold no copy and cannot restore it for you, so keep your own backup (Settings › Share, back up or delete your days). The privacy policy explains what Junco stores.

Ending use

You can stop at any time by deleting the app. Your licence ends if you break these terms. We may stop updating or offering Junco; the copy on your phone keeps working, but we cannot promise it will work with future versions of iOS or Android.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the date at the top changes when we do, and using Junco after an update means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without taking away any protection the consumer laws of your country, province or state give you.
